BEACHES
Rhodes is rich with choice when considering day trips to the beach. Besides Ixia Bay on the doorstep of our property, there are several you might consider exploring.
Faliraki Beach, on the northeast side of the island on Kallithea Bay, is famous for its golden sand beaches and proximity to charming villages. Further south, consider Kolymbia Beach or Afandou Beach. If you’re visiting the lovely town of Lindos, you could spend some time at Lindos Beach or at some of the bays and grottoes in the area. The blue of the Mediterranean and the warmth of the Greek sunshine and people will combine for a holiday rich in memories and delights.

WATER SPORTS
The Aegean Sea is host to an extensive range of water sports.
Try windsurfing. Facilities by our beach let you catch the waves and the wind simultaneously as you speed over the sea. Diving is also popular in the area as the sea is rich in history for exploration. Our diving experts, Dive Med College, offer free pool demonstrations at our hotel, in addition to scuba dives, snorkling, and equipment rentals. For more information, you can visit Dive Med College.
For less strenuous options, consider hiring a driver to take you on a speedboat for a different perspective on Rhodes. Or enjoy a relaxing pedal in the sea on one of the pedaloes that you can rent. These recreational activities are just a short stroll away.

LOCAL HISTORY
MEDIAEVAL TOWN OF RHODES
Visit the mediaeval town of Rhodes. A UNESCO-listed World Heritage site, it’s the largest inhabited mediaeval town in Europe. Its labyrinth of passages allows you to meander through time.
LINDOS
Lindos, 47 km from the town of Rhodes, offers a wealth of charm. With its dazzlingly white homes dating to the seventeenth century, this town is crowned with an acropolis. The Temple to Athena, the area’s most important ruin, dates to the fourth century.
ANCIENT KAMIROS
Ancient Kamiros, 34 km from the town of Rhodes, is what remains of a town that reached its pinnacle in the sixth century BC. It was known for its figs, olive oil and wine.
EMBONAS
Embonas is the wine capital of the island, located on the slopes of Mount Attavyros. Some of the wines include the red Cava Emery or Zacosta or the white Villare.
SIANA
Siana is a delightful village below Mount Akramytis. It is known for its honey and souma, a potent drink made from seasonal fruit.
EPTA PIGES
Epta Piges (Seven Springs) lies on the way to Archipolis Village, about 3km before the church of Agios Nectarios. It is a valley flowing with clear springs and covered with enormous pine trees. Here the visitor can experience the unique beauty of the interior regions of Rhodes.
